90 students received an invitation to internship in the IT Holding T1 based on the results of the project protection, on which they worked as part of a two-month educational project of the IT Laure T1. The final took place on August 28 at once in three cities of Russia – Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. In the final stage, 288 beginner IT specialists from all over the country out of more than 7,000 people who submitted applications for participation in intensity, and 90 young talents were invited to paid internship in T1.
Despite the increase in the number of IT specialists by 14 % in the first quarter of 2025, the personnel deficiency in the industry is still preserved. At the same time, employers note that they expect from young specialists of rapid career growth and the rapid development of their applied skills.
The lack of practical cases for students was also noted by Tatyana Trubnikova, director of the Department for the Development of Digital Competencies and Education of the Ministry of Cyphra of Russia, which took part in the open dialogue of university representatives and department with students in the IT camp final in Moscow. According to her, today it is important to achieve a closer connection between the IT education and the leading players of the industry for more practical-oriented training of graduates.
IT Holding T1 has been holding a summer ButkMP for students for the second year in a row for students so that students from all over the country can get practical experience and take the first steps in his career. This year, interest in the camp increased significantly: the organizers received 2.5 times more applications for participation than in 2024. Over 1,500 young talents from 459 universities of the country were enrolled in intensivation. 73 % of them are students of technical specialties of regional universities.
At the beginning of the training, participants got the opportunity to decide on the field of training, and the most popular was system analytics – it was chosen by more than 450 people. Over the past few years, specialists in this track have high demand in the market, only since the beginning of 2025, the need for them has grown by 15 %. Other areas of training in the IT lager are a Backend development on Java, Frontend development on Java+React, as well as manual testing and applied administration.
“Today, employers expect from novice specialists of applied skills and understanding how business processes work in IT companies. Therefore, such projects as the T1 IT camp are becoming an excellent opportunity to get the necessary practical experience and quickly take the first steps in the profession. So, many talented guys after the end of the camp become part of the T1 team. Last year, about 130 students from different regions received the offers for the internship-and the vast majority of them still continue their career with us today, ”said Ekaterina Kolesnikova, deputy general director of the T1 IT Herd Herd Herd.
In 2025, the IT camp took place in a hybrid format. After the first remote stage, the participants began command work on their own projects, which they defended before the expert council on full -time finals of the camp. Throughout the day, the teams presented their options for solving practical cases, demonstrated applied skills and competed for the opportunity to get an offer in T1. Students were invited to develop products for current business requests.
Thus, the winners of the finals in three cities of Russia created a tool for obtaining consent to process personal data, a solution for reservating negotiation rooms, a service for optimizing corporate discussions “Muza” and other products. Experts T1 experts plan to apply ideas and development of the camp participants in the further implementation of real IT projects of the holding.
