Prime Minister Huthi in Yemen, Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi, was killed by Israeli attacks

The Huthi rebels in Yemen announced on Saturday the death of their boss, Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi, following some Israeli air attacks held in Sana on Thursday. As a result of the aggressions, several of Al-Rahwi's ministers died.

“We announce the martyrdom of the combatant Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi, the head of the Government, together with several of his ministers, in the aggression of the Israeli enemy on Thursday when they were in a Sana meeting,” It is shown in a statement broadcast by Huthi al-Massirah television. According to the source, several members of the government have been injured, some seriously, AFP and BBC informs.

The Israeli army confirmed the attacks, stating that it targeted a “military target” in the capital of Yemenita, under the control of Huthi rebels. They, supported by Iran, have control over some vast territories in Yemen, including the capital of Sanaa, where they instituted political institutions.

Ahmad Ghaleb al-Rahwi, originally from Khanfar, government Abyan, was recognized for his resilience, a deep connection with the community and the decades of public service. Throughout his career, he has survived several attempts to assassinate and personal losses, becoming a symbol of devotion to the sovereignty of the year.

Huthi states that they act in support of Palestinians in the conflict in the Gaza strip and frequently launches rocket and drones on Israel, most of them intercepted. On Wednesday, they claimed another rocket attack against Israel, which was neutralized, according to the Israeli army.

In recent months, the rebels have attacked vessels with Israeli ties off the Yemen, and Israel has responded through several raids, in particular with ports in the western country and the Airport in Sana.
