12 Moldovan citizens were evacuated from Israel through Egypt, announces the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Israel, Alex Roitman, specifying that almost 75 people have requested support to leave the country in conflict with Iran.

“After taking over about 450 phone calls and over 100 emails, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the state of Israel identified by direct contact of citizens, which previously requested evacuation from the state of Israel (about 75 nationals), a group of 12 people, who decided to be evacuated from Israel through Egypt. The evacuation was possible due to the support provided by the Portugal Embassy in the State of Israel ”, noted the Moldovan diplomat on his Facebook page.
Alex Roitman stressed that “The embassy continues to identify people who want to leave the territory of Israel through Egypt in the following days by applying the online form.”
Moldovan MAE recommendations
Previously, the MAE from Chisinau recommended to Moldovan citizens in Israel to leave the country due to military confrontations with Iran, giving them more options to do so.
According to the authorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova located on the territory of Israel have the opportunity to leave the land by land, through the functional border points on the border with Jordan or Egypt.

Citizens are encouraged to constantly inform themselves from official sources and to strictly respect the instructions of the local authorities ”, the employees of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs have added.
