This small locality is now proud of the most modern stadium in that part of Croatia, whose construction cost over 7,000,000 euros!
Last season, Vardarac has won the fourth Croatian league and, starting this season, is a member of the third NL East league. The team debuted in the new season with a victory, 3-1 against the ones from Beem, and has big ambitions for this year.
Because in this region of Croatia there is a large number of Hungarian ethnic, the governments of Croatia and Hungary have funded the construction of this stadium.
“It was not built for the 500 inhabitants of Vardarac, but for the 12,000 members of the Hungarian community in Croatia. We have built where the largest center is and where there is tradition, but it is not only for the Hungarian minority,” said Robert Jankovics, the representative of the Hungarian national minority.
The stadium is equipped with changing rooms, lime room, a room for anti -doping control, a gym, a workspace for journalists and meets all the requirements for obtaining UEFA B.
Also, the stadium has a capacity of 500 seats, practically exactly the number of inhabitants of the locality.
