The message of Ukrainian partisans after the Russians installed defenses at drone factories

The Russian authorities have a Panțir aerial defense tower near the Drone Factory in Elabuga, the Tatarstan region, according to the Partizan Ateș movement, which claims that this measure reflects the damage caused by the Ukrainian attacks so far reports Euromaidan Press.

Elabuga is a valuable target for Ukrainian operations, as it produces Geran-2 drones, the Russian version of the Shahed-136 model, used in massive attacks against Ukrainian infrastructure and areas. Thus, the interruption of production to this installation would affect the supply network with these armament systems, with the potential to reduce the frequency and extent of drone attacks on the Ukrainian territory.

Ateș agents working at the factory have documented the defensive structures near the factory, the group announced on Telegram on August 26.

It is a sign that Ukrainian drone attacks have already caused damage to the installation, notes the supporters.

The Ukrainian forces made the most recent drone attack against Elabuga on August 25th. The installation faced multiple Ukrainian attacks during 2025, with attacks in April, June and August being documented.

It is part of Russia's efforts to protect sensitive sites that can become targets. The group agents documented similar constructions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg and other cities. These structures contain modules designed for Panțir air defense systems and are meant to counteract Ukrainian drones.

However, atheis gives assurances that these defensive measures will prove insufficient against the following attacks.

“The Kremlin has only to build new new towers and protect its factories with Panțir systems, but that will not keep them from reprisals,” said the group, adding that “for every shahed drone launched on Ukraine, a fair attack will follow.”

The organization has appealed to information on similar defensive installations, air defense systems or military facilities in Russia and occupied territories, providing compensations for reliable information.

The Elabuga factory produces over 5000 drones monthly

In July, the Russian state press broadcast two propaganda films that presented the production capacities of the Geran-2 drones, especially at the Elabuga Complex, located over 1,300 km from the Ukrainian territory.

The reports of the intelligence services indicated that the factory produces more than 5,000 Geran-2 units monthly, 18,000 drones being completed in the first six months of 2025.

These propaganda clips came after Russia's record bombardment in a single day, on July 9, when Moscow launched 741 drones and rockets.

The campaign of Ukraine attacks on the territory of Russia has focused on military infrastructure, including air bases, logistics centers, oil refineries and railway networks that support Russian war effort.
