The joint tickets STB – Metrorex, common travel titles that allow travelers to use both STB Metropolitan and subway lines will be more expensive from September 4. The increase of the tariff comes after the subway tickets have been increased since January 1.

Since January 1, the price of tickets from the subway has been increased. Thus, a single subway trip came to cost 5 lei, compared to 3 lei last year.

The railway club writes that in the decision to increase the tickets from the subway on January 1, only the travel titles valid exclusively on the subway journey, not the ones of “integrated metropolitan” type, which allow both the subway and the public transport of the surface in Bucharest and the public service of the operators of the operators, were included. Public transport of Bucharest-Ilfov (ADI-TPBI).

A STB trip still costs 3 lei. Thus, from January so far who purchased a common StB-MetroREX ticket paid 5 lei, while the broken tickets would have cost 8 lei (5 lei subway and 3 lei STB).

The new prices for StB-Metrorex joint tickets

Only now the authorities have decided to increase the STB-MetroREX tickets and to align prices. The new rates will enter into force from September 4.

Thus, a common STB-MetroREX trip will cost 7 lei compared to 5 lei at present, and the tariff for ten travel will increase from 45 lei to 59 lei.

At the same time, the price of the subscriptions will be modified, so one on one day will be 18 lei instead of 14 lei, and the one for one month will be 160 lei, from 140 lei.
