A forest fire broke out on Thursday near Krinița, near Ghelendjik, on the Black Sea coast, just 10 kilometers from the luxurious palace that Aleksei Navalnîi attributed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Agerpres reports.
According to authorities in Krasnodar County, the fire broke out after the remains of a Ukrainian drone, shot down by the Russian anti-aircraft defense, fell into an wooded area. In the beginning, the flames included an area of 200 square meters, but later they extended to more than 17 hectares.
The Ministry for Emergency Situations has mobilized impressive forces: 27 special vehicles and over 100 firefighters, supported by a MI-8 helicopter and a BE-200 aircraft. The TASS news agency has distributed a video clip in which you can see the smoke released in the air.
Tourists evacuated from the beach
The fire also surprised the tourists on the sea. According to the Russian authorities, 23 people relaxing at the beach remained blocked and were evacuated with a boat.
The palace attributed to Putin
The fire approached the famous palace on the Black Sea coast, evaluated at over $ 1 billion. Aleksei Navalnîi presented in 2021, in a documentary that has become viral, images and details about the luxury construction, which he claimed would belong to Putin.
According to the opposition, the palace has almost 18,000 square meters and is located on a 68 -hectare land. However, the Kremlin rejected these accusations. The Russian president denied that the palace would be his property or any relative.
