In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, for the first time in the year, products began to become cheaper

For the first time in August 2024, products have fallen in place in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Bank of Russia said in the branch of Krasnoyarsk.

So, egg prices have been reduced for 7 months in a row, in a year the price tag decreased by more than a quarter. This is due to the increase in the production of poultry farms in the region and neighboring regions.

Vegetables and fruits also significantly fell significantly, some of them simply began to grow more slowly in price. So, for example, the annual increase in potatoes and carrots has significantly slowed down. But garlic and tomatoes began to cost cheaper than a year ago. Prices for pepper and cucumbers decreased by 12%. Grapes and bananas also fell in price.

“We see information about suppliers from different countries in stores on vegetables and fruits price tags. Geography has expanded over the past year: this is Pakistan, Iran, Chile, Brazil. Traditionally, many fruit and vegetable products are brought to us from China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. By July, a good local crop appeared on the shelves. The strengthening of the ruble played a role. This led to the fact that the prices of vegetables and fruits are growing slower or even decreasing, ”comments Sergey Zhuravlev, managing department of Krasnoyarsk Bank of Russia.

In general, annual inflation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory slowed to 9.53%. Products for the year have risen in price by 13%, non -food goods – by 5%, services – by 11%. In the whole country, in July, annual inflation slowed down and amounted to 8.8%.

This is still more comfortable for people and business. The policy of the Bank of Russia is aimed at reducing inflation. This means that interest rates will remain high as long as it requires its return to the target of 4% in 2026 and consolidation on this significance in the future.
