“The tragedy in Radom, during preparations for Airshow, crashed the F-16 aircraft. Unfortunately, the pilot died” – spokesman Adam Szłapka wrote on platform x.
Indicated that Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz talked to the prime minister and is on the way to the scene of the accident.
The machine took part in rehearsals for international Air Show, which is scheduled for the next weekend.
There are already video recordings of an accident in social media.
For now, it is not known what caused the disaster.
On the website of the Air Show, there is information that “F-16 is a multi-purpose fourth generation fighter, which has been the basis of the Air Force for years of many NATO countries, including Poland. Thanks to its maneuverability, performance and advanced avionics, this machine works perfectly both in combat missions and during air shows.”

The F-16 was to be a hero of Tiger Demo Team – is a show showcase of the Polish Air Force, referring to the elite group of NATO air units gathered around the symbolism of “Tiger”.
“The band's performances are not only a promotion of Polish aviation, but also a tribute to the tradition, professionalism and courage of military pilots” – we read in the announcements of the event.
