The discounts “affect the programs of the State Department, of the United States Agency for International Development and International Assistance Programs”, is shown in the letter sent to the Republican President of the Chamber of Representatives and distributed by the White House Budget Office.

President Trump “will always put America in the first place,” wrote the budget office on platform X.

Democrats had recently warned that any attempt to revoke the funds already approved by Congress would destroy any negotiation possibility with them to avoid budget paralysis, the famous “Shutdown” after September 30.

Massive cuts from USAID

According to the New York Post, which announced the news on Thursday night, the vast majority of discounts – $ 3.2 billion – will come from the funds allocated to the USA International Development (USAID).

Donald Trump had already frozen billions of dollars from international aid since his return to the White House and had officially abolished USAID, which is now absorbed by the State Department, responsible for American diplomacy.

The largest humanitarian agency in the world, USAID was involved in medical and emergency assistance programs in approximately 120 countries.

In July, an international study revealed that the collapse of American financing for international aid could lead to over 14 million additional deaths by 2030 among the most vulnerable people, one third of them being children.
