Politehnica Iași left the Romanian Cup, after being defeated in extensions by Ploiești Petroleum, score 1-2. The decisive goal was scored by Gicu Grozav, in the 120+2 minute, through a spectacular execution, but the success came under conditions challenged by opponents.
At the goal phase, the Greek striker Konstantinos Doumtsios would have been in an offside position, which sparked the protests of the Moldovans. If the score had left 1-1, the match would have decided on the breaks.

Immediately after the end of the match, Poli Iași posted a message on the official Facebook page, accusing the arbitration:

The match had Cristian Moldoveanu at the center. The assistant who did not signal the offside, according to the official website of the CCA, was Răzvan Tudor.
Including coach Tony da Silva was crying: “I feel frustrated, Poli Iași is not respected. We are too yellow, very easy to whistle against us. Today I lost two players, injured, Istratie and Ruben Silva. Offsaid empty.

For Polytechnic Iași, the match in the second league follows with CSM Slatina, while Ploiești Petrol is traveling to Constanța to meet the Lighthouse, in Superliga.
