Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski in a recent interview for “DGP” presented the assumptions and purpose of introducing digital tax in Poland.

The minister also presented estimated budget revenues from Polish digital tax in the first year: at a rate of 3 percent It would be PLN 1.7 billion, at 4.5 percent – PLN 2.6 billion, and at 6 percent – PLN 3.4 billion. He emphasized that the main source of income will be foreign companies from the e-commerce sector, and for domestic entities such as Allegro, deductions and relief are provided: “We know who we go for money and they are not Polish companies“.

Trump said that the US and American enterprises are no longer a “world piggy bank or push” and emphasized that digital taxes and regulations regarding digital services and markets hurt American technology, while favorable to Chinese companies.
