148 miners are stuck underground following a Russian bombing on Dobropillia

The Russian bombings interrupted the power supply of the mines in Dobropillia. 148 miners are blocked underground, announced Mihailineț, the head of the Confederation of Free Unions in Ukraine, quoted by Euromaidan Press.

In the absence of electricity, income and safety systems are no longer functional, and the miners risk running out of air.
Dobropillia, located in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetk region, is the industrial center of an important carboniferous region. The city is known for some of the largest coal deposits in Ukraine and obtained the city status in 1953.
Recently, Dobropilia has become an active fighting area. The constant bombings have damaged the residential areas, the social infrastructure, the water supply and the electrical networks, making it difficult for the locals.
Critical situation
Due to the current feather, the mines were left without electricity. Rescue operations are ongoing to safely bring miners to the surface.
