Spectacular images: winter landscape in full summer. The August snow has reached a few centimeters in the Bucegi Mountains

Although the calendar shows that we are, in August, nature has prepared a winter show in full. Surprising landscapes were covered by snow, offering spectacular images that seem to be detached since December, not from the last summer month.

In the Bucegi Mountains, a layer of a few centimeters of snow was deposited on Monday, although we are still in the hot season, according to the images posted by Hello, Bușteni.

The video images captured by those who have dared to go in the summer on the snowy mountain peaks no longer need any comment.

The unusual episode of cold weather comes immediately after the coldest in the morning of this summer, when negative temperatures have been recorded in several areas of the country.

And the representatives of Salvamont Brașov surprised in the pictures the consistent snow layer that lasted on the mountain meadows on August 25th.

According to the data of the meteorologists, at the weather station in Miercurea Ciuc the thermometers went down to minus 1 degree Celsius, marking a record for the summer season. The same value was recorded in other mountain and depressing areas, such as Obârșia Lotrului, Poiana Stampei, Stâna de Vale, Iezer and Omu Peak.

The images with the white layer in Bucegi became quickly viral, many tourists surprising with the phones the moment when the peak of the mountain seemed to jump over the fall and enter directly in the winter.

Specialists point out that such episodes, although rare, are not completely unusual for the high areas of Romania, where even in the summer, snowfall can appear, if the cold air masses in the north intersect with the moisture in the atmosphere.

The weather continues to cool in most regions, and the temperatures will remain below the normal values ​​for this period, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announces. On Monday, August 25, the maximums will not exceed 28 degrees Celsius, and the mornings will be cool, especially in the north and center. At Miercurea Ciuc was registered -1 grade Celsius.
