According to the results of 2024, Krasnoyarsk entered the TOP 10 index of the digital transformation of the IQ Cities urban economy and the nominations of the largest cities. The award was held in Perm as part of the forum “City of the Future”.
The Ministry of Digital Development of the region said that the IQ cities index was developed by the Ministry of Construction of Russia as part of the Smart City project. With its help, one can evaluate the effectiveness of the introduction of digital decisions in various fields of urban economy – from housing and communal services and construction to culture and education. The average index value in 2024 reached 61 points, which is 11 % higher than 2023 and 55 % higher than the base level of 2018.
The index is evaluated in four categories of cities, depending on the population. According to the results of the rating, the leaders in each category were Moscow, Tyumen, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Cherkushinsky city district of the Perm Territory. A detailed rating with places of cities of each category will be published additionally. Last year, Krasnoyarsk also entered the top ten strongest among the largest cities.
The digitalization of the urban environment becomes the most important factor in sustainable development. The results of the rating indicate the systemic work of municipalities and regions on the introduction of information technology in the interests of residents who are developed and developed within the framework of the national project “Economics of Data”.
