From Monday, the pool of reimbursed vaccinations in pharmacies will expand, among others About pertussis, HPV, shingles, tetanus, hepatitis, hepatitis B and RSV. Vaccination will be free for everyone, and a free vaccine for selected patient groups.

From Monday, reimbursed in pharmacies will be vaccination against Covid-19, flu in the autumn-winter season, tick-borne encephalitis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, human papilloma virus (HPV), pneumococci, half-soup, measles, ol (polymyeltis), hepatitis A or hepatitis B, hepatitis B, respiratory virus infections (RSV). This assumes the announcement of the Minister of Health regarding the list of protective vaccinations carried out in the pharmacy, which can be in whole or in part financed from public funds.

– The Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund decided to unify payments for vaccinations in pharmacies. They will be free for everyone. A vaccination will be reimbursed, while some patients will still have to buy vaccines, because the reimbursement of the vaccine is entitled to selected groups – said Dr. Wojciech Rozdżeński, assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, a specialist in medical and pharmaceutical law

Currently, vaccination and vaccine on Covid-19 are free in pharmacies, but currently there are no vaccines available against this disease and until the purchase of new ones it is not possible to vaccinate. The Ministry of Health plans to resume vaccinations on Covid-19 at the end of September.

For the influenza vaccine in the pharmacy in the autumn and winter season and against pneumococci, they currently do not pay a person from 65 years of age. Seniors are also entitled to a free flu vaccine and against pneumococci, if they have an increased risk of pneumococcal disease.
