Minister Radu Miruță told Digi 24 on Friday that only in October will be able to make a restructuring at the Ministry of Economy, as the latest took place in April, and the legislation only allows at least six months.
The Minister of Economy argues that the expected restructuring will be an “engineering cleaning”.
“” I am in a situation in which the law blocks me, because restructuring can be done every six months, the least. Asked if he also takes into account salaries, Radu Miruță stated: “The salaries are quite low, they are the lowest in the Government, for a historical reason-nobody wanted to take care of the people of the Ministry of Economy.”
“I think it is the only ministry that is not considered to carry out a complex activity, given that the employees of the Ministry of Economy received about four ministries over time, each with all the rejections that have not been desired in other ministries,” continued Radu Miruță, who is at the same time the Minister of Digitalization, and the Turism.
The official considers that “great injustice” is this situation, “because by combining these ministries in a common ministry there are situations in which colleagues, who have the same function, the same office, the same age, receive different salaries, which is not right at all and, regardless of austerity, for this I will be beaten.”
Thus, asked if the salaries of the employees in question will increase, the minister said: “This is what the law says, to take those who do the same to the equivalent of others. Yes, I do not mind that people have a small or high salary, it bothers me that it is not a unit of measure for that man to justify if he has a small salary.”
“There are some who do the job, there are some who do not do the job. Who does not work will find another job,” concluded Minister Radu Miruță.
