The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, said on Friday that the reform proposed in the sanitary field implies “a relocation of the medical services and an efficiency of the health units”, and the measures submitted by the institution they lead “were not made on the knees”, but “they were made with professionals” following the consultants.
On Friday, in Timișoara, the Minister of Health said that “the reform of the health system does not mean austerity, but a relocation of the medical services and a efficiency of the health units, so that the patient benefits from as many adapted medical services and, where you can, of centers of excellence for certain pathologies”.
“We cannot limit the access of patients and the right of patients, first of all, to justice and, secondly, to high quality treatments,” said Alexandru Rogobete.
He claims that all the measures proposed by the Ministry of Health for the second reform package will be adopted by the Government in the meeting in early September.
“All the measures proposed by the Ministry of Health will receive the vote, because they were not made on the knees, they were not made by a small group of people with the doors closed in an office. They were made with health professionals, first of all. I consulted the unions, the professional societies, the universities, and the universities were worked, continued rogobete.
The Minister of Health warns a risk of “collapse”
Alexandru Rogobete claims that the health system risks entering “if we do not change something in the health system”.
“I understand that the resistance to change is a great one, usually, but many say that this system does not work well and it is a reality, I confirm you. If we do not change something in the health system, it will collapse soon,” said the Minister of Health.
The official has given the example of the National Health Insurance House, whose budget has increased in recent years from 45 billion lei to almost 80 billion, but there are still sanitary units where no paracetamol or patients are sent to buy algocalmin from their own pocket.
“I cannot hide this reality. All the measures with which we come now support the patient and the system, to re-establish them. The heads of the department will no longer be appointed by universities, but they will go through a competition, as any doctor who hires in a public hospital,” concluded the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete.
