The Trump administration announced on Thursday that it checks all over 55 million people with American visas for possible violations that can lead to expel, writes The Associated Press.
The US State Department states that visas that allow people to remain in the United States can be revoked at any time if there are “indications of exceeding the duration, criminal activities, threats to public safety, involvement in any form of terrorist activity or support given to a terrorist organization”, cites the APA agency, taken by News.ro.
In a written answer to a question addressed by Associated Press, the department said that all American visa holders are subject to a “continuous check” on any clue that could indicate that they are not eligible for this document.
If such information is found, the visa will be revoked and, if the visa holder is in the United States, it will be subject to expulsion.
“We analyze all the information available during our verification, including the law enforcement or immigration files or any other information that comes to the visa and which indicates a potential inelligibility,” the State Department insists.
