The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly responds to Israel's decision. “We definitely oppose”


On Wednesday, Israel approved the controversial project to build a housing estate in the west bank. The housing estate project in the E1 area includes the construction of about 3,400 apartments between Jerusalem and the Ma'ale Adumim estate in the west bank.

Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the case on Thursday. “We definitely oppose plans to build new Jewish housing estates in the E1 area, in the west bank. The decision of the Government of the Israel state, made on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, is in public contradiction with international law,” we read.
The statement emphasized that “Poland supports a two -state solution, which assumes the peaceful coexistence of Israel and Palestine within 1967.”
“We call for the cessation of the Israeli authorities to support the illegal settlement movement in the West Bank. We condemn all acts of aggression against this background towards the Palestinian population,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “We are in contact with EU diplomacy and European partners on a joint response to these steps,” we read.

“Israeli ministers declare that it is about preventing the creation of the Palestinian state. If so, the question arises, what they predict for millions of Palestinians, for whom they answer as the occupation power in Gaza and the west shore of Jordan,” wrote the deputy prime minister.
