Supporting benefit. It is a solution directed directly to people with disabilities, so that an adult with a disabilities can decide how support should be used.

The supporting benefit is due regardless of income (no income criterion), as well as regardless of other forms of support received by people with disabilities.

The right to a support benefit depends on the person with a disability obtaining a decision setting the level of support at the level from 70 to 100 points. An application for such a decision should be submitted to the Provincial Team for Disability Adjudication.

Supporting benefit. How much is? Amounts and valorisation

The amount of the support benefit depends on the level of support, i.e. the number of points granted and is associated with the amount of social pension.

The amount of the benefit is:

– from 40 percent social pension (if the level of support is determined between 70 and 74 points);

– up to 220 percent social pension (determining the level of support for level from 95 to 100 points).

Along with the annual valorisation of the social pension, the amount of support is also subject to valorisation. From March 1, 2025, the social pension is PLN 1878.91, which translated into an increase in the amount of support for the support. Now it is a maximum of PLN 4,133.60, and a minimum of PLN 751.56. The new amounts of the benefit are:

– 60 percent social pension – PLN 1126;

– 120 percent social pension – PLN 2253.6;

– 220 percent social pension – PLN 4,133.6.

Supporting benefit. Schedule, payments, important dates

Schedule of introduction of a support benefit:

– Stage I – from January 1, 2024 – supporting benefit available to people with disabilities with the highest levels of support, i.e. from 87 to 100 points;

– Stage II – from January 1, 2025 – supporting benefit also available for people with disabilities with subsequent levels of support, i.e. from 78 to 86 points;

– III – last stage – from January 1, 2026 – a supporting benefit will also be available to people with disabilities with the remaining levels of support for support, i.e. from 70 to 77 points.

The above schedule does not apply to people with disabilities, for which their guardians at least on January 1, 2024 or later they received the current nursing benefit, a special care allowance, a guardian allowance or care benefit on new terms – in the case of such people with disabilities to obtain at least 70 points in the decision on the level of support, from January 1, 2024. supporting.
