Although obliged by law, Salrom shareholders refuse to meet for the dismissal of the management, says the Minister of Economy: “They are so held with teeth”

The decision to convene the General Assembly of Shareholders (AGA) for the revocation of the members of the Board of Directors (CA) within the company Salrom was given, but “Aga refused to convene and we went to court,” said Economy Minister Radu Miruță on Thursday.
Asked what happens to the leadership from Salrom, given that the 30 days had long expired, the minister replied: “There was a decision to convene the general meeting of the shareholders, to ascertain the losses from Salrom and the legal consequence is that since you find losses the mandates are revoked”.
“The general meeting of the shareholders refused to convene, which is an obviously illegal matter. He went to court for the obligation to convene. So loud they are held with the teeth, that he refuses to meet, although he obliges his law. He wins a few days, that it is a presidential ordinance.
On July 3, the Minister of Economy proposed to the General Assembly of the shareholders the revocation of the members of the Board of Directors within Salrom following the report of the Control Corps that evaluated the situation from Salina Praid.
“I proposed to the General Assembly of the shareholders, who coordinate part of the activity of the Board of Directors, the inclusion on the agenda of the revocation of the members of the members as pursuant to article 137, aligned 4, of Law 31/90,” said Miruță.
He specified that the decision to propose the revocation of the five members of which is well documented and has as its foundation both inside the ministry and the control report of the Prime Minister's Control Body.
“There is information from 2006 announcing that the disaster in Praid was to happen and which were disregarded. This information was known by Salrom, Romanian Waters, the National Agency for Mineral Resources (ANRM) and were also in the ministry's attribution to be used,” Miruță explained.
The minister said that there are official expertise showing what was to happen in Salina Praid with water deviation, but also international studies with the risk of flooding saline that were not taken into account.
“Given the existence of an injury, its quantification is to be measured exactly,” said Miruță.
According to the government official, the Praid accident happened from a collateral, multiple, Salrom, Romanian, ANRM, probably Conversmin and Ministry of Economy.
Miruță stated that the decision to dismiss the general director of Salrom will be the attribute of the new board of directors, within 30 days.
