Zelensky recalled that the first lady of the United States handed over the letter to the illegitimate president of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, which spoke of stolen Ukrainian children. Trump handed it to Putin during a meeting in Alaska on August 15.
“And my wife, the first lady of Ukraine, handed the letter. It is not for you, but to your wife,” Zelensky said.
On August 19, in an interview with Fox News, Trump noted that he did not read this letter, but immediately handed it to his wife.
“Melania told me that this was an absolutely wonderful letter. I’m going to look at him. I gave it to the sealed yesterday. It's nice, when you pass things with sealed, I don’t like to open them. It was a wonderful letter, I’m sure,” Trump said.
