IQOS X Irina Rimes x Roman Tolici: over 3,000 participants in the event at Fratelli Beach & Club Mamaia

More than 3,000 participants were present on August 15 and 16, at Fratelli Beach & Club Mamaia, on the occasion of the second part of the collaboration signed by IQOS X Irina Rimes x Roman Tolice, within the project “Enjoy the Unexpeded”. The event represented the culmination of the collaboration between the two artists and IQOS, a merger between music and visual art that transformed the space on the seafront into a platform of collective curiosity and exploration.

In a hi-tech decoration, lively music and spectacular projections, the IQOS community has become part of the creative process. The involvement of the community through messages, ideas and reactions was the inspiration for the two premieres of the evening: the song “This summer”, played for the first time by Irina Rimes, and the work “Day Song”, presented by Roman Tolici. Both the song and the work of visual art, born from a continuous dialogue between artists and the community, have built a common story together, in which the emotions turned into sound and color.

On Saturday, August 16, before the show, Irina and Roman met with members of the IQOS community in a relaxed meet & Greet session. The emotions were great, but the atmosphere was quickly relaxed and the space filled with smiles, words of encouragement and thanks.

Irina Rimes climbed the stage from Fratelli Beach & Club Mamaia into a design dress made at the choice of the IQos Club community, turning the moment into a symbol of the connection with the public. The song “This summer” was accompanied by the video directed by Hypno, a visual construction with experimental accents, which integrate images sent by IQOS fans and brings a surprising end. Bogdan Moldoveanu, known under the pseudonym of Hypno, is one of the most appreciated Romanian directors of musical videos, advertisements and documentation. “I do not think that, today, you can do something relevant if you do not know your audience ”, says Hypno. “In the whole process of building the clip, I thought how to keep the people who look, an audience who is curious and having fun when he has a puzzle in front. I hope that most of those who will see the clip will appreciate the intention.

Both the song and the work of visual art were born from a constant dialogue between artists and the community, building together a common story, in which the emotions turned into sound and color, into an experience that caused and inspired equally.

As I tried to reconcile the two directions, the more confused it was ”, the more confused”, confesses the director. “And then I chose to go in a totally opposite direction to both. The Synth-Pop in Irina's play and Roman's explosive state took me in a key where I wanted to make a video […] As a kind of film trailer […]. After all, the goal was to find a context in which to integrate both artists and make a visual piece as Eye-Candy, with Good Vibe.

The result captivated the public, turning each reaction into a part of the story of the event.

In the counterpoint, Roman Tolici presented “Day Song”, a work that symbolically complements “Night Song”.
“”Day Song »is closely correlated with the first work,« Night Song », the night elements replacing the day and vicervers. The sound captured in “Night Song” is transformed into the vibration issued by “Day Song”. The two compositions are intertwined, suggesting the existence of a single song, perceived differently in the night and daytime register, generating synesthetic experiences, in which the sound becomes color, and the emotion, object. ”, Explains the Romanian artist Tolici.

The weekend was amplified by memorable live moments, such as Emil Vergazov's percussion show, but also by the energy of the community, which has further experienced the experiences, photos and messages. Under the concept of “Enjoy the Unexpeded”, IQOS managed to turn Fratelli Beach & Club Mamaia into a connection and curiosity space, where art, music and direct interaction have created a memorable collective experience together.
