The act also guaranteed annual valorisation. Importantly, this benefit can be obtained and received not only by ZUS clients, but also centenarians who have not received a pension or pension from any institution.
When will ZUS grant an ex officio honor benefit and when should you submit an application?
Pursuant to the applicable regulations, the honorary benefit is granted to persons who have Polish citizenship, are over 100 years old and have the right to, for example, for retirement or pension. Such persons are granted to such persons, which means that they do not have to submit an application. He will receive a decision on granting an honorary benefit from the institution that pays the basic benefit. If the centenary is entitled to pension benefits paid by two different institutions, the honorary benefit will grant and will pay ZUS.

Honorary benefit may also be granted at the request. This applies to people who do not have the right to their own pension or disability pensions, but have Polish citizenship, they are 100 years old and had a center of personal or economic interests in Poland for at least 10 years after the age of 16. In such a situation, ZUS will grant a century -old person an honorary benefit for the month in which this person will submit the application.
