In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the skipper will appear before the court after the death of the passenger on the Kan River. This was reported by the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, in September 2023, the accused ruled a small vessel with a passenger on board without individual rescue equipment. When passing the section of the Kan River, he chose an unsafe speed and ran into an obstacle. As a result, the ship overturned and the passenger drowned.

In relation to the man, they opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of internal water transport, which entailed by negligence of the death of a person).

The case will be considered in the Kansky district court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
