A fisherman helped solve a case of almost 60 -year -old disappearance after discovering a car submerged in the Mississippi River in Minnesota. In the car were the human remains of a man, who had not been seen since 1967.

Brody Loch called the authorities after discovering the Buick car from the 1960s with a sonar. Divers and a towing team recovered the vehicle. Investigators who examined the car found human remains inside, said Steve Soyka's office, the sheriff of Stearns County, according to TheGuardian.
By the vehicle's identification number, investigators were able to determine that the car belonged to Roy Benn. At the age of 59, he was disappeared and has not been seen since.
Officials sent the remains of Benn's car to a forensic office for a possible identification. However, based on the objects in the car and his wine, Soyka's office said he believes that the remains were Benn.
A missing person's bulletin published by the Minnesota Public Safety Department said Benn was last seen on September 25, 1967 while “Transport a large amount of money.” It was also driving an Electro 1963 Buick with four doors, metallic blue.
Benn's family has been notified and asked to provide DNA samples to make it easier to identify.
“We are only grateful that, most likely, we finally obtained the discovery I needed to bring this family.” Heck said.
Benn had a home appliance repair service in St. Cloud, Minnesota, when he disappeared, according to the reports of the local newspaper at that time. St. Cloud Daily Times also reported that Benn's wife had died a year before he disappeared.
