Moscow accused Ukraine of wanting to attack a nuclear power plant. FSB claims to have intercepted Kiev's drone

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Sunday that it had prevented a Ukrainian drone attack on the Smolensk nuclear power plant, located in the west of the country, about 330 km southwest of Moscow, near the border with Belarus, reports Reuters, taken over by News.ro.
According to the FSB, Russia's electronic war systems intercepted a spis drone, produced in Ukraine, above the nuclear complex.
“The electronic war forces have intercepted an Aviation type drone – UAV Ukrainian 'spis' – above the territory of the Smolensk nuclear power plant,” the institution statement said.
The Russian authorities have accused Kiev of “continuing the challenges” by attempted attack on the nuclear energy objectives in Russia.
The nuclear power plant, equipped with three RBMK type reactors – the same basic design as in Chernobyl – said that it works normally, without damage to reactors or critical infrastructure.
The State Agency Ria Novosti has published images with alleged fragments of the drone, and the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the appliance was heading to the boiler.
Russia announces other successes
Reuters notes that he could not verify this information independently, and Ukraine has not yet commented on Moscow's accusations.

Also on Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces had shot down 300 Ukrainian drones and attacked several Sapsan missile deposits. The announcement comes in the context of the fierce struggles in the Donetk region, where the Ukrainian troops are trying to stop the Russian advance.
According to Moscow, the Russian forces obtained better positions near the town of Zoloti Kolodiaz, in the Donetk region, although maps broadcast by pro-Ukrainian sources show that Ukrainian forces have limited the Russian advance.
The Russian Defense Ministry also says that fighter jets, drones and missiles have been used to hit Sapsan missile deposits.
Also, “four guided air bombs and 300 unanswered aircraft vehicles were shot down by air defense systems,” the Russian Ministry said.
The Sapsan rocket is the latest generation ballistic missile developed by Ukraine.
