Special weather forecast for Bucharest. What will the temperatures be in the next three days?

The National Meteorological Administration issued a weather forecast for the Capital valid on January 9.

From Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. until Wednesday at 8:00 a.m., temperatures will be above multi-year averages. The sky will be more cloudy and light rain or drizzle will be reported briefly. The wind will blow weak and moderate. The maximum temperature will be around 6 degrees, and the minimum will be 0…2 degrees. Especially in the morning and at night there will be foggy conditions, informs ANM.

From Wednesday morning to Thursday morning, the sky will be cloudy with a temporary light rain, with possible sleet towards the end of the interval. The wind will blow weakly and moderately during the day, with intensification at night (35…45 km/h). The maximum temperature will be 6…7 degrees, and the minimum 0…1 degree.

Thursday, it gets cold. The temperature values ​​will be lower than in the previous interval and close to the multi-year averages specific to the period. The sky will be cloudy, and in the first part of the interval there will be light mixed precipitation. The wind will intensify especially during the day (35…45 km/h). The maximum temperature will be 1…2 degrees, and the minimum will be around -5 degrees.

Snow in half the country

More than half of the country is affected from Tuesday to Friday morning by snowfall, snow cover, intensification of wind and frost, according to the announcement of the National Meteorological Administration, writes News.ro.

Meteorologists have issued a valid information for the interval January 6, 10:00 a.m. – January 9, 10:00 a.m., when snowfall, snow deposits, wind intensifications and frost are forecast.

“Temporarily there will be precipitation in most parts of the country and amounts of water of 10…40 l/m2 will accumulate. These will be mixed and it will be raining during the day of January 6 in Banat, Crisana, Maramureş, north and west Transylvania, then snow will gradually prevail and a consistent layer of snow of 15…30 cm will be deposited. In Moldova, as well as in the center, south and east of Transylvania, there will temporarily be mixed precipitation and snow will prevail in the mountains, and the newly deposited snow layer will be 30…50 cm”, reports ANM.

From the night of Wednesday to Thursday (January 7/8) there will be intensification of local winds in the southern and eastern regions with speeds of 50…60 km/h, as well as in the Southern and Curbura Carpathians where gusts will exceed 70…80 km/h and there will be a blizzard.

In the night from Thursday to Friday (January 8/9) the weather will become locally frosty in the intra-Carpathian regions and in the hilly areas of the rest of the country, where minimum temperatures will generally be between -15 and -10 degrees.

A code yellow meteorological warning covers the period January 6, 18:00 – January 8, 12:00, when quantitatively significant precipitation, snow, snow, ice, wind intensifications are forecast in Banat, Crişana, Maramureş, northern and western Transylvania, the Banat Mountains, the Southern and Curbura Carpathians.

“Initially in Banat, Crişana and Maramureş, and then in the north and west of Transylvania, there will be quantitatively significant precipitation, predominantly in the form of snow. 20…35 l/m2 will accumulate and locally over 40 l/m2 in the Banat Mountains and in the Southern Carpathians. A layer of snow will be deposited, in the mountains of 20…50 cm, and in low relief areas, of 15…30 cm. Locally there will be is depositing dust”, warn meteorologists.

From the night of Wednesday to Thursday (January 7/8), the wind will intensify in the Southern and Curbura Carpathians with speeds of 50…70 km/h, and at altitudes above 1700 m, at 70…85 km/h, so that the snow will temporarily be blizzard and visibility low.

A similar warning, for the same internal, was issued for the center, the south and the east of Transylvania, Moldova, where there will be mixed precipitation and locally there will be dust.
