The Minister of Investments and European Funds, Dragoş Pîslaru, appeals to parents regarding the 500 lei funds on educational cards for the 2024-2025 school year, showing that they can only be used until August 31.

According to the minister, over 670,000 children from vulnerable families benefited from this European support for the purchase of school supplies and materials. He also draws attention to the fact that more than 10% of families have not yet used this amount, being a total of about 33 million lei.

“Appeal to parents: funds of 500 lei transferred on educational cards for school year 2024–2025 can only be used until August 31, 2025. Over 670,000 children from vulnerable families have benefited from this European support, intended to purchase supplies and materials necessary for the school and kindergarten,” wrote on Sunday, Facebook.

However, he mentions, more than 10% of families have not yet used this amount. “It is a total of about 33 million RON. The money left unoccupied after the deadline will be automatically withdrawn and will not be used,” says Pîslaru.

The minister also shows that these social tickets, financed from European funds through the program inclusion and social dignity, represent a direct investment in the education of our children, in their future and in reducing school dropout.

“I call on parents to capitalize on these resources in the next two weeks, so that the respective money does not be lost. The program will continue in the school year 2025/2026, the amounts to be transferred to cards between September -October 2025,” the Minister of European Funds.
