From Saturday until further notice, the operation of all five ramps on the Elbląg Canal (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) has been suspended. The reason is a failure of the so -called Circulation channel of the Kąty ramp – said the Regional Water Management Board in Gdańsk.

On Saturday there was a failure on the circulation channel in Kąty, which powers the water circles of all ramps. “A gap has been created that can increase. There is no threat to people and property,” said Rzgw in Gdańsk.
As stated in the communiqué, ad hoc repair actions will stop the water outflow, but proper repair may take up to two weeks. The RZGW ramps will inform about the progress of repair and starting individual ramps in navigation messages.
