The incident shook the agricultural community in southern Spain

A 30-year-old Romanian man lost his life after he felt bad, working under the hot sun, at high temperatures, in a greenhouse in Gualchos, Granada.

The Romanian did not do easy work and was a basic man for the activity and agricultural production in the area. It carried out activities to replace and remove the foil from greenhouses, says Gaceta.es.

Colleagues say that his employer, a local socialist counselor, refused to call the ambulance.

The Romanian worker had to go to the medical center alone, where he collapsed and died.

What did investigators discovered after they descended on the spot

Sources of the investigation said that the worker was illegally employed, along with other colleagues of the same nationality. They worked in full sun, at very high temperatures. The worker, about 30 years old, began to feel bad. From the greenhouse he was sent to the Medical Center, just 300 meters from the job. He walked, without mentioning he was working for a third party, and collapsed on the road.

The medical crews intervened, but could not save the man's life. Civil Guardia has opened an investigation to send to the Ministry of Labor all the necessary documents in order to verify the possible violations of the rights of the workers.

The “Solidaridad” union will use all the legal means available “To clarify the event and to do justice”. “If it is confirmed that this socialist politician holds the greenhouse and hires illegal workers, we will go to the end.”said the Secretary General of the Union, Jordi from Fuente.

“Those who give lessons about human rights, massive immigration and xenophobia are the first to treat foreigners as a timber and slave work.he concluded.
