In Russia, it is planned to limit the issuance of loans to the MFI if the client already has a valid loan, reports vse42.ru with reference to News and chairman of the State Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov.

Tight toughening the rules for issuing microloans is planned since 2026. In addition to the ban on more than one loan, from next year in Russia there will be a cooling period for three calendar days when issuing a loan in the MFI.

Additionally, the authorities want to reduce the maximum overpayment level from 130 to 100 %. It is known that the amount of overpayment includes the main debt, interest fees, as well as commission fees, penalties and penalties.

It is emphasized that the current restriction applies separately to each agreement. Such actions make it possible to reset the countdown and accrue interest again, increasing the debt repeatedly when re -registering a loan.
