Israel heavily criticized. “Mentality steeped in delusions”

In an interview with the I24 station on Tuesday, the lecturer asked Netanyahu if he feels associated with the vision of “Great Israel”. The Prime Minister said twice that “definitely yes”. The term “great Israel” refers to biblical borders, but is currently not clearly defined.
It usually refers to Israel within the current boundaries and territories gained in the war in 1967, i.e. Eastern Jerusalem, the West Bank of Jordan, the Gaza Zone, the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Hills. Sometimes it is also expanded to include the areas of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Arab countries do not hide their indignation
The premiere of Israel has condemned several Arab countries. “An open violation of the sovereignty of Arab countries and an attempt to undermine security in the region” – assessed in the Wednesday statement of the Arab State League. It has been added that the remarks of the Israeli prime minister are reflected in “expansionist and aggressive intentions that cannot be accepted or tolerated”, and also reflect the “mentality steeped in colonial delusions”.
This statement clearly reveals Israel's “expansionist ambitions” – emphasized in the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued on Thursday. Egyptian diplomacy demanded explanations, considering that Netanyahu's words “provoke instability, reject a peace solution and strive for escalation in the region.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan condemned the statement as a dangerous provocation. In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia rejected “the occupation authorities of colonization and expansion adopted by the Israeli authorities”.
The European Commission with the vision of the “Great Israel”: Annexation is illegal
The spokeswoman for the European Commission Anitta Hipper has also referred to the statement of the Prime Minister of Israel, who emphasized that “the annexation of the territory is illegal in the light of international law.”
– The European Union rejects all territorial changes that are not part of the political agreement between the two parties – added the spokeswoman for the EC.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide took the floor in a similar tone. In his opinion, the words of the Prime Minister of Israel show that this country “strives to take over the land belonging to Palestinians to prevent a two -state solution.”
