The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs about Trump's meeting with Putin

“This week, all eyes are turned to Alaska, because the meeting of the presidents of the US and Russia can be a decisive step towards the end of the war in Ukraine,” said Szijjarto. “The American-Russian agreement gives the greatest chance for peace. That is why Hungary accepts the meeting of both presidents with satisfaction” – he added.

“We always call for suspension of weapons, peace conversations and maintenance of open diplomatic channels, even when we are attacked by European and former American political leaders. Unfortunately, prowy EU politicians use every day to Friday to undermine the path to peace and sabotage the success of the Trump-Putin meeting,” wrote the head of Hungarian diplomacy.

Hungary wants the peak to succeed, give all the necessary support and do everything to prevent it from blocking or sabotaging” – he concluded.

The head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas, in turn, emphasized on Monday that the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of EU Member States expressed support for the US actions, which “will lead to just peace.” She added that the EU was preparing further sanctions for Russia.
