Trump ordered to outweigh the portraits of Obama and both Bush to an inconspicuous place in the White House – CNN

One of the sources said that the portrait of the ex-president of Barack Obama was moved to the upper part of the large staircase. Portraits of George Bush – the younger and his father George Bush – the eldest were moved to the same staircase.

Now portraits will be hidden from the eyes of thousands of visitors who visit the White House daily. The channel notes that he received a photograph of the portrait of Obama. It hangs in the corner, at the entrance to the private zone, access to which is strictly limited. It is open to the president’s family, the US Secret Service and the limited number of White House employees and the residence of the head of state. This site is completely hidden from the eyes of visitors.

This is not the first case of moving the portrait of Obama. In April, the portrait of Obama was moved to the other end of the Big Foya of the White House, replacing it with a picture depicting the scene of Trump's attempt on Batler, Pennsylvania.

The protocol and precedents of the White House demand that the portraits of the latest American presidents are located in the most prominent place at the entrance to the president’s residence so that guests can see them during official events and visitors during excursions, CNN notes. The portrait of the previous US President Joe Biden has not yet been completed.

Manipulations with portraits occur due to Trump's tense relations with his predecessors, the publication says. So, Trump recently accused Obama and his administration members of treason during the 2016 elections. The office of the ex-president called these accusations “outrageous”, “strange” and “weak attempt to distract attention.”

Between Trump and the Bush family, there was also a long tension. The Bush Sr., who died in 2018, called Trump a “boost” in his biography and voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 elections. George Bush – the youngest Trump criticized as a “unsuccessful and not inspiring” president.
