A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory wrote a false denunciation of the theft of a car and fell under the investigation

In the Irbean-Sayan municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man was brought up for a false denunciation of the theft of a car. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

In July 2025, the man moved on the way to his “Lada” when the police began to stop him. Instead of submission, for reasons known only to himself, he rushed to the nearest forest, where he threw his car and hid in the bushes, observing law enforcement officers.

The law enforcement officers, acting strictly according to the law and without finding anything forbidden in the abandoned car, seized him and sent him to a special parking lot. Left without a car, the driver developed a plan – to freely return it to the police about his theft.

“With an innocent look, the man appeared in the police department and wrote a statement in which he asked to hold unknown persons who allegedly abducted his car. However, police officers quickly suspected something was wrong, ”said law enforcement agencies.

After conducting an audit, law enforcement officers established the truth – there was no theft. As a result, the man became a defendant in a criminal case of a knowingly false denunciation (part 1 of article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), which provides for a punishment of up to 2 years in prison.
