Alaska will come to the meeting of the presidents of the USA and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on Friday. Last week, Trump suggested that the exchange of territories between Russia and Ukraine would be agreed during the meeting.

– We are at the moment when it is closest to the suspension of the weapon from the moment the conflict begins, so I have high hopes with this meeting- said Kosiniak-Kamysz on Monday at a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister, minister of digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense expressed the hope that the Friday meeting of both politicians would end “positively for the safety of Europe, Ukraine, and thus for the security of Poland.”

However, as he noted, no decision “even the most dreamy one about the desired peace, will not weaken our vigilance in cyberspace, or in building and in the transformation of the Polish Army.” According to the deputy prime minister, in such circumstances one should increase the intensity of actions, because Russia and its allies would gain time to recreate its military abilities. – We can never waste this time and such an eventuality, we have such a plan. We are ready – emphasized the head of the Ministry of National Defense.

At a press conference, the vice -presidents were also asked about President Karol Nawrocki's working meeting planned for September 3 with President Trump. Nawrocki's invitation to the White House was confirmed on Saturday by the head of his office Paweł Szefernaker. Talking topics include security and economic cooperation.

Gawkowski emphasized that the United States is a “strategic partner” for Poland, and the cooperation of both countries should be part of the message of President Nawrocki during a visit. – I think that strengthening Polish -American relations will serve everyone well – he added. (PAP)
