Today the first written test takes place at BAC 2025, the August session. The first written exam is in Romanian language and literature. Over 30,200 high school graduates registered in the session August 2025, according to the Ministry of Education, of which over 18,000 are from the current promotion, and about 12,000 from previous promotions.

This session is a new chance for those who have not passed in June or who could not attend all exams.

The conduct of the written test in Romanian, BAC 2025, August session

The sample is organized under conditions similar to those of the first session. Students must be present in the examination room until at the latest at 8:30, with a valid identity card. The sample starts at 9:00 and takes 3 hours.

Candidates can only use pen or pen with blue paste or ink.

Access to phones, beasts, headphones or other objects that can be considered sources to copy is forbidden.

Sample calendar at Bac 2025, August session

  • August 11, 2025 – Romanian language and literature – EA test) – written test
  • August 12, 2025 – Mandatory profile test – EC sample) – written test
  • August 13, 2025 – Sample of choice of profile and specialization – ED sample) – written test
  • August 14, 2025 – Maternal language and literature – EB test) – written test
  • August 18, 2025 – Displaying results on written tests, viewing the written works and submission of appeals
  • 19-20 August 2025-View written works and deposit of appeals
  • August 26, 2025 – displaying the final results.

In order to pass the 2025 baccalaureate exam, the August session, the students must obtain at least grade 5 at each written test and have a general average of at least 6.

At the first session of the baccalaureate examination the percentage of promotion is 76.5% after resolving the appeals. After resolving the appeals, the success rate increased by 2.2%, from 74.3% to 76.5%, in all promotions, compared to 78.2% in the June-July session 2024.
