UTA Arad defeated the Lighthouse with a score of 2-1, in the number 5 round in the Superliga. The team coached by Adrian Mihalcea climbed the first place.
The Aradians started the perfect match and opened the scoring after only 9 minutes, at a phase where the defense of the Constans defended very weak.
Mihalcea's team could increase his advantage a few minutes later, but Costache's shot passed a little next to the gate. Buzbuchi kept his team alive at the phase spent just before the break, when he opposed the attempts of Padula and Abdallah.
The pharystants gave the first signs of life only in the second. First was Grigoryan's opportunity, then Radaslavescu restored equality after a “lightning” counterattack. Ișfan passed decisively.
Equality lasted 16 minutes. Pospelov scored in the 78th minute, after Tzionis focused on a free kick.
Dican missed a monumental opportunity in the final minutes, when he failed to defeat Iliev from an excellent position, from the small box. The whole stadium began to shout the name of the goalkeeper.
After this match, UTA is a provisional leader in Superliga, with 11 points. The lighthouse is ranked on 4, 10. In the 1971-1972 season, the 24th stage, it was the last time the Aradians were at the head of the ranking after at least five games. Then, the “old lady” did not lose in the first 10 rounds.
