Until the last days, the regulation for the organization of football activity in Romania said that the list can only be modified with newcomers at clubs during the transfer period. If a footballer was taken off the list, he could no longer be reintroduced after sending the list to LPF.
Gigi Becali came out public and challenged the rule, wanting to put Edjoua again after the beginning of the championship.
In order to fall into the rule so far, the club had to conclude the French contract, then to do another, to legitimize. FRF and LPF have modified the rule, and the FCSB midfielder could be reintegrated into the list of players eligible with the current contract, without the need for that fireworks.
Gino Iorgulescu and Răzvan Burleanu responded promptly and positively to Gigi Becali's call, which entered the rivals from Rapid and Craiova.

Rapid reacted, through the voice of Victor Angelescu, the president and shareholder of the club. He transmitted that the Giuleștean team and Craiova University oppose the modification of the rule.
Rapid does not accept that the rules of the championship be changed overnight, in full season, to favor a single club. This is neither the right football, no respect for the competition and the work of all the teams.
The FRF Emergency Committee modified ROAF without consulting the clubs and without a minimum transparency. It has changed a rule that was in effect for years, which did not represent a real emergency, but will have immediate effect on the transfer period and the player's right of playingr. in other words: it intervened directly in the championship.
When you change the rules during the game, you hit the credibility of football. When you do it to benefit someone, you hit the fair-play.
Together with those from Craiova, we asked for the immediate suspension of the application of this change and resuming the discussions transparently, with all the participants at the table. If this does not happen, we will go to the end, using all the legal ways to defend the correctness of the championship.
I do not want to be misunderstood, we do not oppose the modernization or improvement of the regulations, but these changes must be made transparent, with the participation of all those involved and in compliance with the competitive calendar.
It's not just Rapid or Craiova. It is about Romanian football and respect for supporters, for the work of the players and the spirit of the competition. If we lose that, we lose everything.
