Meteorologists have announced on Saturday, August 9, that, starting at 12:00, a yellow code warning, valid for 21 counties, enters into force. Starting on Sunday, an orange code of heat, valid in six counties, enters into force.

According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți, Gorj, Dolj, Vâlcea, Olt, Arges, Teleorman, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Prahova, Buzău, Buzău, Braila, Ialomița, Ilomița, Ilfovi, Ilfovi, Ilfovi, Ilfovița
According to ANM, it will be high heat and high thermal discomfort. The maximum temperatures will be between 35 and 37 degrees, with the highest values in the south of Oltenia and Banat, where 38 degrees will be insulated. The temperature-humidity index (ITU) will reach or easily exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The night will be local tropical with a minimum in general of 18 … 22 degrees.
The warning is in force from Saturday from 12.00 to Sunday at 10.00.
From Sunday until Monday, August 10-11, an orange code of heat is valid in Bihor, Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți and Dolj counties.
Here, the thermal discomfort will be emphasized, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units, according to ANM. The maximum temperatures will be 38 … 39 degrees, and the minimum ones will be between 19 and 23 degrees, characterizing a tropical night.
In Maramureș, western Transylvania, northern and east of Oltenia, in Muntenia, southern Moldova and the continental part of Dobrogea will be highly high temperatures, there will be heat and high thermal discomfort, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will reach or exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
The maximum temperatures will be between 33 and 37 degrees, and the minimum ones will be between 17 and 21 degrees, characterizing a tropical night.
On Monday, the heat and thermal discomfort will persist in the southwest and south of the country.
In Bucharest there will be valid a warning of yellow code of heat, high thermal discomfort and tropical night between August 9, at 12:00 – 10 August, 10:00.
