The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appears after the wave of criticism, with which the idea of the director of the Pilecki Institute Krzysztof Roczniewicz, who – as “Rzeczpospolita” informed, was to expect “to prepare a series of seminars and proposed, among others, the organization of a seminar dedicated to the return of cultural goods by Poland for Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and private property belonging to Jewish persons.”
The Ministry of Culture responded to this information on Tuesday, which in the published announcement emphasized that “Pilecki Institute did not conduct and never conducted talks in the restitution of cultural goods – this is not in the competence of the individual. Seminars that will take place in September dedicated to provenance research, are used to spread a false narrative about the activities of the Polish government. Research Institute (in accordance with the Act), including changes in the employment structure that takes place in the departments – the recruitment of qualified researchers – they are used to spread disinformation in the media. “
