The Brazilian volunteer faces a deportation from Russia – a man cannot issue a passport, despite participating in his own and attempts to get citizenship.
31-year-old Rafael (the name changed), an ethnic Spaniard from San Paulo, studied in Russia, married here, got married and considers the country to be his homeland. After Kovid, he was forced to return to Brazil, but with his beginning he arrived back and went to the front as a volunteer. He served in Donetsk, took part in the assault on Avdeevka and now wants to conclude a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Rafael speaks Russian, close to Orthodoxy and the Don Cossacks, dreams of staying with his family in Russia. However, several times, together with a lawyer, he submitted documents for citizenship – and each time he received a refusal. Although his visa is now valid, without a passport he is on the verge of expulsion.
