“If we want Hungary to remain Hungarian, we have to create a common central-European defense system against migration,” said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at MCC Feszt, a multidisciplinary festival in the city of Esztergom, as reported by the MTI news agency, quoted by Agerpres.

Orban said that the best links should be established with all countries along the Balkan migration route, because the defense line against the next migration wave must be as south as possible.

He warned that tens of millions or even hundreds of millions could leave Africa to Europe.

Orban also said that the only way to maintain Central Europe as a European Christian community is “to be in accordance with the Balkan Christians, Orthodox Christians and Roman Catholics in Slovakia and Poland.”

“Protestants, Catholics and Christian-Orthodox must form a political alliance to keep their roots and Christian inheritance,” he added.

Without such a mutual migration defense system, Orban stressed, “we will look like the countries of Western Europe.”

“The Russians are not a threat to Europe today, but only for Ukraine”

In the same speech, Orban also said that the hypothesis that the Russians could “come and take over” is “unrealistic” and should not lead to political measures.

“Unrealistic assumptions can only lead to wrong political decisions,” Orban said.

He said that the Russians “are not in the state or position” to represent a threat to Europe at present.

“At the same time, Russia is a threat to a part of Ukraine, because if (countries) Western do not give Ukraine weapons, they will be forced to conclude a peace that involves territorial issues, and Russia has territorial claims,” he added.

Orban also said that this has nothing to do with what would happen in Poland, Hungary, Romania or Austria, because these countries are not under military threat.
