The threat of the tsunami was declared on the coast of the Avachinsky Gulf after an earthquake in Kamchatka.
The first underground shocks began at 11:30 local time. According to eyewitnesses, furniture shook at that moment, household appliances fell, and the alarms were triggered by cars. In kindergarten No. 15, walls fell – there is no accurate information about the victims.
According to preliminary information of the Kamchatka branch of the FIC of the EGS of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in different parts of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the strength of the shocks reached 8 points.
