The largest solar farm in Poland. Investors reveal details
Although the exact location of the investment has not yet been disclosed, it is known that the project will ultimately integrate solar and wind energy and energy storage within the common transmission infrastructure.
– Thanks to this project, we set a new standard in solar energy in Poland. In just a few years, he has a chance to transform into one of the largest hybrid energy projects in Europe – emphasized Hubert Kowalski, managing director of VSB Polska. He noted that the success of the undertaking will largely depend on the economic conditions and future regulations.

Hybrid renewable energy systems integrated with energy warehouses are gaining more and more popularity in Europe. They allow you to increase the stability of supply to the network, more effective use of available resources and minimize the risk of overloads, especially during periods of peak production. Experts indicate that such solutions will be crucial for the further development of renewable energy in Poland.
The solar farm in Poland will be one of the largest in Europe
For comparison – the largest installation of this type in Europe is Witznitz Energy Park near Leipzig, belonging to the Shell group, with a capacity of 650 MW. In Poland, the leader among hybrid RES projects is Kleczew Solar & Wind, which will ultimately reach 334 MW. In turn, the largest solar farm currently operating – PV Zwartowo – has a power of 204 MW (in the future 290 MW), ahead of PV Akona (200 MW).
The new VSB investment has a chance to change the balance of power on the domestic map of green energy. Details of the technical configuration of the farm have not yet been disclosed, but as the company's representatives announce, the project is part of the European trend of combining various renewable energy sources with energy storage. This is a step towards a more flexible and resistant to weather fluctuations of the energy system.
