These countries emphasized that the Iranian services “are increasingly cooperating with international criminal organizations to attack journalists, dissidents, Jewish citizens and current and former officials in Europe and North America.”
Such actions were considered in the statement “unacceptable”, calling for the Iran authorities to immediately end them.
As the Reuters agency reminded, from the beginning of 2022 the British services were to prevent over 20 plans with which Iran was associated, aimed at “kidnapping or killing people in Great Britain, including British citizens and other people perceived by Tehran as a threat.” In October, the agency informed about the wave of killings and kidnappings in Europe and the US, followed by the authorities in Tehran.
