On Thursday at the Ministry of Health a meeting of representatives of the Board of the National Association of Poviat Hospital Employers with the new head of the Ministry Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda took place. The conversations were also attended by, among others President of the National Health Fund Filip Nowak and his deputy Jakub Szulc, Magdalena Dzierwa from the Agency for Assessment of Medical Technology and Tariffs and Deputy Minister of Health Jerzy Szafranowicz.

It was the first conversation in such a group after the change last week by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as the Minister of Health.

– The minister is full of faith in her mission, you can also see a lot of understanding for hospital matters. She managed hospitals, consolidated them, and also managed a poviat hospital. It gives a lot in these conversations – PAP told PAP after the meeting Waldemar Malinowski, president of the National Association of Poviat Hospital Employers.

Sobierańska-Grenda, before moving to the ministry, was the president of the Pomeranian hospitals-she is a manager and a lawyer.

As a result of the talks, the Management Board OZPSP has changed its recommendation for directors of poviat hospitals on annexes to contracts with the National Health Fund. – After talking to the minister, we decided to recommend hospitals to sign annexes to contracts with the National Health Fund – said Waldemar Malinowski.

These contracts are necessary for the facilities to receive funds for increases for health care workers provided for in the Minimum Salary Act. On Wednesday, the union appealed to drivers to the clinics not to sign these documents, because – in the opinion of OZPSP – sufficient funds do not follow them to cover wage growth.

– Yesterday we did not have full knowledge about the conditions contained in individual annexes, so we did not know the full amounts that the hospital would receive. Today we already know more about these annexes, although there are hospitals that – even after signing new conditions with the National Health Fund – will have a big problem with salaries – said the head of OZPSP after talks in MZ.

On Wednesday, the National Health Fund estimated that the contracts were signed by nearly 60 percent. service providers. On Thursday, subsequent provincial branches of the Fund informed on the X website about signed documents flowing from hospitals.

Talks in the health ministry also concerned the government's draft act on hospital reform. During the last meeting, its second reading took place, but the project did not go to the vote. On behalf of the left club, MP Joanna Wicha announced during the debate abstaining.

– More than a year of work on this project has passed and this proposal still cannot be adopted, despite the fact that it has been tightly cut off in relation to the original plans. Coalicians still disagree about its records. We were involved in work on these solutions, we presented our proposals and we want this law to be finally accepted – as we emphasized at the meeting at MZ. This cannot be continuing, because the launch of funds from KPO depends on this act – the interlocutor noted PAP.

He added that the union asked the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy with a request that – since there were no new legal solutions yet – she convinced the voivods to support hospitals in the restructuring process. – We're always ready to talk. This was the case for the previous minister, so it is now. We hope that these findings will bring a specific effect – added Waldemar Malinowski.
