The District Prosecutor's Office in Radom initiated an investigation into PiS MP Marek Suski. Investigators will examine whether the politician has blocked funding from the National Health Fund for an investment in the heat and power plant in Radom, which acted to the detriment of the company. A notification to the prosecutor's office in this case was submitted by MP KO Konrad Frysztak.

According to prosecutor's spokeswoman Aneta Góźdź, the investigation is conducted in the matter of exceeding the PiS MP in the period from September 26, 2018 to September 20, 2021.
Investigators want to determine whether Suski used his position and influenced the officials of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) during the procedure for granting funding, which Radom Energetyki Cieplnej Radpec was unsuccessful.
The prosecutor's office entrusted the investigation to the investigation department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom.
– Witnesses, including persons included in the management board of Radpec, will be questioned in this matter, as well as documentation regarding the procedure for applying by the Company to grant funding from the National Health Fund – said the spokeswoman.
She added that in particular the thread of the alleged influence of MP Marek Suski and possibly other people on the NFOŚiGW decision -making process in the field of co -financing would be studied. The hearing of employees of NFOŚiGW is also planned.
The notification to the prosecutor's office was submitted in March by MP KO Konrad Frysztak. The background of the case is the testimonies that Tomasz J., a close friend of PiS Iwona Arent, made in court. They were disclosed by journalists of Radio Zet and Newsweek. One of the threads was the matter of Radom Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej Radpec and intervention by Marek Suski.
“According to the report, the basis for the submitted notification was the explanations submitted by Tomasz J. during a hearing before the District Court in Warsaw, in which he charged the MP to the Sejm of Marek Suski's responsibility for the failure of the Radom Cieplnej Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej Radpec from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management,” said, said.
In the opinion of Tomasz J. Suski, he was to block so that the combined heat and power plant did not receive funding, in order to lead her to bankruptcy and pave the path of Enea interested in it.
In a statement sent to the media in March, Suski wrote that he had no influence on the decision -making process in this matter. “Any suggestions that I blocked funding by this company are a lie. It should be emphasized that the contract for co -financing Radpec was processed and signed by the NFOŚiGW authorities appointed during the United Right Government,” he pointed out.
Suski also undermined the credibility of Tomasz J. and his testimony. According to him, Tomasz J. is accused of numerous fraud and unlawful obtaining property benefits and that, “defending against punishment, he may use it, and even through this fact his testimony is unbelievable.”
Suski also assured that his involvement in the case “was only advisory, resulting from concern for the development of Radom, the good of its inhabitants.” (PAP)
